Sutton Coldfield RFC, 160 Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B76 2QA.
We are a traditional Korean martial arts school based at Sutton Coldfield RFC. Classes are taught by Chief Instructors James, a 3rd Dahn black belt and Amy, a 2nd Dahn black belt in Kuk Sool Won.
Kuk Sool Won is the systematic study of all traditional Korean fighting arts, founded by the Grandmaster, In Hyuk Suh, in 1958. It is a martial arts system which combines all aspects of Asian fighting arts into one well-organised curriculum.
At Kuk Sool Won of North Birmingham, we are a family orientated club who strive to teach in a way which is both fun and informative. Whatever your goals, whether it’s to get fit, learn self-defence or simply try something new, Kuk Sool Won caters for all.
Our Ninjas class is aimed at ages six to eight, and teaches children the fundamentals of Kuk Sool Won. We place a large emphasis on etiquette and respect, and aim to instil these virtues in students. The Ninjas class is designed and formatted to develop their key skills, such as balance, flexibility, coordination and control. We don't just teach punching and kicking, but help develop confidence and self-defence skills essential for every-day life. We aim to keep classes light and fun, as this is the most important thing about training!
Our Juniors class is aimed at slightly older children, of ages nine to twelve. Like the Ninjas class, we continue the themes of etiquette and respect, and building confidence in our students. At this age, the skills we teach are slightly more technical, but are still delivered in a fun and engaging way!
Our Adults & Youth class is for everybody aged 13 and above, regardless of age, ability or experience. We are a family orientated club who strive to teach in a way which is both fun and informative. Whatever your goals are, whether it’s to get fit, learn self-defence or simply try something new, Kuk Sool Won caters for all. We will be able to help you achieve all of these goals and more. At Kuk Sool Won of North Birmingham, we will help you develop in mind, body and spirit and give you skills that can be transferred in to every-day life.
